At the Sheep’s Head Bistro our goal is to serve delicious and remarkable food and drinks. The menu we offer is of the highest standards of quality and freshness. We are able to combine both modern-creative and traditional bistro styles of cooking with the use of seasonal ingredients in all of our dishes.

The Sheep's Head Mushroom

This polyporus and versatile mushroom grows in clusters at the base of trees, particularly in oaks. It also has several names: the Ram’s Head mushroom and the Maitake mushroom, which in Japanese means “dancing mushroom”.

This mushroom has many accolades in the kitchen starting from it’s fabulous flavour, to the firm texture which lends itself to almost any culinary application. It’s also highly acclaimed in scientific studies as an immune-system enhancer.

What We Offer

Based only minutes outside of Cornwall, Ontario our restaurant offers an extremely comfortable atmosphere with lots to offer and a great view of the Saint Lawrence River. We welcome walk-ins, take out food, waiter service, and accommodate reservations.

Our hours of operation for lunch are Wednesday – Saturday from 11:30AM- 3PM. For dinner, we are open Wednesday – Saturday from 4:30PM- 9PM and Sundays from 5PM – 8PM. We are open on Sunday for brunch from 10AM – 2PM. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We are constantly buying and supporting locally sourced and organic Ontario and Quebec produce.
